The Cakrawala Tower is an office building that was built in 1974. However, on January 14, 2016, the Tower became one of the locations of a series of bomb blasts in the 2016 Jakarta attack. The first explosion of the bomb occurred in a parking lot located in front of the Starbucks at Sarinah crossing. at 10:40 a.m. WIB. The Cakrawala Tower is also known as Skyline Building. This tower is the result of strategic collaboration with a joint venture scheme between PT Jakarta Setiabudi International Tbk and Japanese investors named Itochu Corporation. At that time, the tower was the first Itochu construction project in Indonesia.

The Cakrawala Tower building is equipped with underground parking with a capacity of 450 vehicles. The tower also has a net leaseable area (NLA) which is usually leased to tenants with a total area of ​​17,800 square meters. At present, the management and operation of this tower is held by PT Skyline Building. This company is home to Japanese companies, such as Tokyu Land Indonesia, which you can meet on the 9th floor. Cakrawalam Tower became one of the first skyscraper buildings built in Indonesia. This tower was built with a tropical architectural design that can adjust to the local climate. The exterior of this building looks like a black and white layer that is arranged intermittently. The white layer can act as a cantilever which serves to protect the dark layer of glass from the heat of the sun and exposure to rain.
